Scores of workers who got fired for refusing to comply with the city’s COVID-19 vaccine mandates are eager to sue Mayor Eric Adams over his decision to exempt local pro athletes and performers, lawyers said Thursday.
“These are real people with real stories to share, and the more people who see them, the more awareness can grow to provide those who survived with the help and medical care they deserve — while warning others of the potentially deadly consequences of COVID-19 injections.”
New York City plans to indefinitely continue the city’s vaccine mandate for private-sector employees who work on-site and will continue to enforce an in-school mask mandate for children aged 5 and under.
Proponents of accord argue it's crucial to fight pandemics; critics counter such a measure will lead to coercive, one-size-fits-all rules and undermine national sovereignty.
