Former television star and Christian activist Kirk Cameron told Newsmax on Monday that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's criticism of a Super Bowl ad promoting Jesus Christ is part of the left's attempts to break down the very principles the nation is founded on and to just "drive ratings."

The House voted Thursday along party lines to remove Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) from her seat on the Foreign Affairs Committee through a resolution that cites her past derogatory remarks about Jewish people and anti-Israel posture.

The representative opposed an amendment to House File 44 that sought to add the word “female” to the bill.

She would not reveal who her clients were, but cautioned: "Believe me, you don't want to get into litigation with them."

"As an advocate for transparency and reform, I will pursue the truth, conduct effective oversight, and fight to root out waste, fraud, and abuse throughout the federal government," the Colorado rep said.
