A federal appeals court ruled that President Donald Trump illegally invoked the Alien Enemies Act to deport Venezuelan illegal immigrants believed to be involved in the Tren de Aragua gang.
Acting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Director Todd M. Lyons visited Florida on Friday to discuss the recent arrest of a suspected Tren de Aragua gang member.
President Donald Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act over the weekend to authorize the deportation of hundreds of gang members tied to Tren de Aragua and MS-13. Both organizations are classified as foreign terrorist organizations by the federal government.
