Major League Baseball (MLB) is starting a program called Go-Ahead Entry, a facial authentication-based system allowing ticketed fans a hands-free entry into the stadium.
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) has recently faced questions over its financial links to Chinese facial recognition startup, SenseTime.
“If that car has cameras, they could use the modules to switch on the cameras and take the data. Ultimately you’ve got to ban any Chinese module in any vehicle, and you’d have to do it quite quickly.”
