The U.S. Supreme Court delivered a massive 9-0 decision on Wednesday that a California woman could not use U.S. bankruptcy code protection to avoid paying a $200,000 debt, which resulted from fraud by her partner.
The cases center on whether social media platforms can be held liable for recommended content based on their algorithms, and whether Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act protects companies from being held liable.
The Supreme Court announced Tuesday it will not hear a 2020 election lawsuit against former Vice President Mike Pence, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, 291 House members and 94 senators, after a petition to reconsider was filed last month.
