As the specter of the 2024 U.S. presidential election looms, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) finds itself under scrutiny for purportedly targeting a new category of extremists—loyal supporters of former President Donald Trump, commonly identified as MAGA (Make America Great Again) followers.

The demand is for "documents and communications related to the Judiciary Committee's and Weaponization Select Subcommittee's investigation into major banks sharing Americans’ private financial data with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) without legal process for transactions made in the Washington, D.C., area around Jan. 6, 2021."
Jim Jordan (R-OH) has issued subpoenas to Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland of the Department of Justice.
