A federal appeals court ruled Thursday against an effort by President Donald Trump to shield documents from the House committee investigating the Jan. 6 insurrection at the Capitol.

Former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows sued Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and every member of the U.S. House Select Committee on the January 6 Attack on Wednesday, claiming that it is unconstitutionally usurping executive branch authority.

Meadows' attorney says client has already turned over trove of documents related to panel's request.

Former Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows will appear before the Jan. 6 House committee, according to its chairman in a statement on Tuesday.

"The Biden administration is a disaster."

Trump aide Roger Stone said the FBI leadership has turned the agency into “Joe Biden’s personal Gestapo” as he solicited donations to cover his legal expenses. The remark came after he was subpoenaed by the January 6 committee.

Former Trump advisor and campaign manager Steve Bannon moved to plead not guilty to criminal contempt of Congress charges after he refused to comply with a subpoena.

The FBI on Nov. 6 searched the Mamaroneck, N.Y., home of James O’Keefe, the founder of the video-sting group Project Veritas. As reported by the New York Times, authorities also searched the homes of two O’Keefe associates. It’s all part of an investigation stemming from the reported theft last year of the diary of Ashley Biden, the president’s daughter.
