The police chief whose orders reportedly delayed response to a school shooting will join the Uvalde City Council.

One mother whose children attend Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, recounted on Thursday the shocking story of what happened when she arrived at the school as the gunman was inside murdering students and teachers.

Twin brothers Jason and David Behman said this week that culture, and men in particular, need Jesus, not more “gun laws.”

Nearly 20 officers stood in a hallway outside of the classrooms during this week’s attack on a Texas elementary school for more than 45 minutes before agents used a master key to open a door and confront a gunman, authorities said Friday.

"I have no words to say," Ramos' mother said. "Forgive me. Forgive my son."

The commander on scene during the Uvalde, Texas, elementary school mass shooting made "the wrong decision" by not breaching the classrooms where the gunman was with students and teachers sooner, said Steven McCraw, director of the Texas Department of Public Safety, on Friday.

It was 11:28 a.m. when the Ford pickup slammed into a ditch behind the low-slung Texas school and the driver jumped out carrying an AR-15-style rifle.

"Go in there! Go in there!” shouted bystanders.
