Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday signed a bill to dissolve Walt Disney World’s private government, after the entertainment giant opposed a new state law protecting parental rights in the classroom.

The Disney company is experiencing massive pushback from conservatives due to the company's pro-LGBTQ sentiments.

Bill now moves to DeSantis’ office to be signed into law.

The bill passed in a 23–16 vote.

The Walt Disney Company has labeled famous characters Tinker Bell and Captain Hook as "potentially problematic" for certain stereotypes.
