Reports Say Gov. Newsom Was Injured by Moderna Booster Vax

The Defender reports a source close to California Gov. Gavin Newsom says the governor experienced “an adverse reaction to the Moderna COVID vaccine he received Oct. 27, the last day he was seen in public.”

QUICK FACTS:
  • The Defender is reporting how the source, who asked not to be identified, said Newsom’s symptoms “were similar to those associated with Guillain–Barré syndrome (GBS).”
  • American Faith reported how the California governor had not been seen in public after receiving a Moderna booster shot.
  • Newsom was finally spotted at the wedding of oil heiress Ivy Getty in San Francisco over the weekend, according to Newsweek. “Newsom attended the wedding after having not been seen at a public event in the 13 previous days.”
  • “GBS is a neurological disorder in which the body’s immune system mistakenly attacks part of its peripheral nervous system—the network of nerves located outside of the brain and spinal cord—and can range from a very mild case with brief weakness to paralysis to leaving the person unable to breathe independently,” The Defender explains.
