President Joe Biden said Friday that the current coronavirus pandemic “is among the unvaccinated” and said misinformation spread on Facebook is “killing people.”
Biden briefly spoke to reporters as he left the White House and was asked by NBC News’ Peter Alexander what the president’s message to platforms like Facebook is regarding COVID-19 misinformation.
“They’re killing people,” Biden exclaimed. “I mean, they’re really – Look, the only pandemic we have is among the unvaccinated. And they’re killing people.”

White House press secretary Jen Psaki told reporters Thursday that the administration is working with Facebook to flag “disinformation” regarding the coronavirus. The comments sparked backlash, with some critics like journalist Glenn Greenwald suggesting the move amounted to “authoritarianism.”
The press secretary defended the move Friday, telling reporters that an individual banned from one social media platform should be banned from all other platforms if accused of spreading misinformation.
“Our biggest concern here – and I frankly think it should be your biggest concern – is the number of people who are dying around the country because they’re getting misinformation that is leading them to not take a vaccine. Young people, old people, kids, children, a lot of them are being impacted by misinformation,” Psaki said.
Yet the activities they prefer make them lonely and miserable.
According to a new survey of millennials, reading books, using cash and talking on the phone are some of the signs that you are “living in the dark ages.”
Yes, really.
They poll of 25-40 year olds was conducted by Energy retailer Love Energy Savings.
Using cash was the top answer, with 28 per cent of millennials believing that something that was commonplace as little as 10 years ago (and still is in many countries) is a sign that people are completely out of touch.
Presumably, only using digital payments that encourage you to get into more debt and which can be more easily tracked and traced is trendy.
Another one of the top answers, chosen by 18 per cent of respondents, was “reading books,” which despite being linked with increased happiness and carrying obvious educational benefits, isn’t cool.
Going to church and talking on the phone are also seriously ‘dark age’ activities, according to millennials.

The over 1 million milestones comes after agents made 188,829 apprehensions in june.
Federal officials announced Friday they had made roughly 1.1 million apprehensions at the U.S.-Mexico border this fiscal year.
Customs and Border Protection said the agency surpassed the 1 million mark in June, in which agents had 188,829 apprehensions, according to The Washington Post.
“We are in the hottest part of the summer, and we are seeing a high number of distress calls to CBP from migrants abandoned in treacherous terrain by smugglers with no regard for human life,” Troy Miller, acting commissioner of U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Friday of the terrain many who are apprehended travel through.
Officials said that many of those who were taken into custody this year have attempted to cross the border more than once.
The last time apprehensions reached 1 million was in 2006, with border apprehensions increasing each month since Biden took office, according to CBP.
In statements made Friday, President Trump criticized the “concerted effort of the Fake News Media” to discredit the “massive number of voter irregularities and fraud” while citing election irregularities revealed by the Maricopa County, Arizona election audit.
QUICK FACTS:
President Donald J. Trump released two statements on Friday discussing the Arizona State Senate hearing.
In one of the statements, Trump said that The Associated Press (AP) “and other media outlets” are spreading “disinformation” in an effort to “discredit the massive number of voter irregularities and fraud” found in Arizona and Georgia.
He emphasized the unprecedented nature of the election audit findings: “There has never been anything like it. Numbers will be released shortly, and they are extraordinarily big and highly determinative!”
In another statement, President Trump denounced Fox News for broadcasting “misinformation” about the audit hearing.
He cited numerous election audit findings by the Arizona Senate.
THE ELECTION AUDIT FINDINGS TRUMP CITED:
Trump reported the audit “showed 168,000 fraudulent ballots printed on illegal paper (unofficial ballots).”
He also reported that 74,000 mail-in ballots were received by the county but that the county could not account for ever sending in the first place, calling them “magically appearing ballots.”
“11,000 voters were added to the voter rolls AFTER the election and still voted,” he went on to say.
“[A]ll the access logs to the machines were wiped.”
And “the election server was hacked during the election.”
BIG QUOTE:
“Arizona shows Fraud and Voting Irregularities many times more than would be needed to change the outcome of the Election,” said Trump.
“AP and other media outlets are doing major disinformation to try and discredit the massive number of voter irregularities and fraud found in both Arizona and Georgia. When the real numbers are released people will be shocked…”

Multiple Texas Democrats who fled to DC to block legislation they opposed test positive for COVID-19.
QUICK FACTS:
Three Texas House Democrats who were part of the group of legislators who recently fled Texas to block Republican legislation have tested positive for the coronavirus even though they had been vaccinated, according to Fox 4.
Their names have not been released.
WHAT THE DEMOCRATIC CAUCUS SAID:
Chris Turner, House Democratic Caucus Chairman, said the following: “The House Democratic Caucus is following all CDC guidance and protocols. This is a sober reminder that COVID is still with us, and though vaccinations offer tremendous protection, we still must take necessary precautions. We are in touch with public health experts in Texas to provide additional guidance. Our caucus will follow all recommendations from public health experts as we continue our work.”
BACKGROUND:
About 60 Democratic members of the Texas House of Representatives recently fled to Washington, DC on two private jets to urge Congress and the Biden administration to enact federal voting rights legislation.
The House lacks a quorum and is unable to vote on any legislation due to the members’ not being present.
According to the Texas Tribune, the House of Representatives can vote to lock the doors to prevent legislators from fleeing. They can even order law enforcement to seek down and jail any members who have already fled.
Texas Governor Greg Abbott threatened to arrest Democratic lawmakers who skipped a special session to prevent Republican-backed election reform legislation from becoming law.
“Once they step back into the state they will be arrested and brought back to the Capitol and we will be conducting business,” the governor promised.

(Charisma News) As a pastor of a large Southern California church, experiencing the strains of government overreach during the COVID pandemic, Phil Hotsenpiller responded by preaching Sunday sermons related to the Constitution from a biblical worldview.
These sermons were well received, and it seemed worthy to establish a website where more people could benefit. Considering Hotsenpiller’s extensive list of media credits—which include articles and op-eds published on Charisma News, Fox News, The Washington Post, CNNand more—it inspired the idea of creating a website where his pertinent articles and the sermons could be accessed. Thus, American Faith was born.
“News You Can Trust” is the banner for American Faith, where both original and curated articles on topics of politics, faith, health, opinion and business are published.
“Because we carefully vet all the articles we curate for accuracy, and our writers must adhere to rigid criteria, ‘News You Can Trust’ is a claim we confidently make,” Hotsenpiller said.
Based on the estimated quarter of a million views, a database of 1.2 million, and the website having an open rate of 60% and a click-through rate of 35%, it seems American Faith‘s quick, sharp and crisp model is coveted.
“Our staff reads articles looking for a fair shake regarding conservative values instead of solely promoting negative left-wing agenda,” Hotsenpiller said. “And as a non-partisan organization we don’t endorse any political candidates.”
Hotsenpiller is a highly accomplished individual who is also known as an executive adviser and a cultural thought leader. He serves as president of the New York Executive Coaching Group. Since Clay Clark’s main thrust is helping business owners through his coaching program, it was natural for Clark to invite Hotsenpiller to be interviewed on hisThrive Time Show business podcast.
Like Hotsenpiller, Clark shares concern over the direction of our nation. In June 2021, Clark produced what was then called the Health and Freedom Conference in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where Gen. Michael Flynn was featured. The event was such a success Clark knew he wanted to do more.
At Flynn’s suggestion, the tour was renamed to Reawaken America. Clark reached out to Hotsenpiller again, but this time with the inquiry for him to host an event at his church, Influence Church, in Anaheim, California.
“When Clay called, I said ‘Yeah’ right away without really knowing what it would require,” Hotsenpiller said. “Having 40 speakers over a two-day event means there are a lot of moving parts. I soon discovered I only knew half of what it would take when I agreed.”
Not that Hotsenpiller has any regrets.
When asked what his goals are for hosting the event, Hotsenpiller said, “I want to give people an opportunity to hear the truth from different perspectives and experience the people they see, hear and follow, up close and personal. I want people to experience the synergy that uniquely occurs at live events.”
While the July 17-18 event will be streamed live to an estimated 7 million viewers, based on the live event selling out weeks ahead of time, it seems many people want the personal experience.
Hotsenpiller’s goal for the event is to encourage people to get involved in local politics and school boards.
“We get upset about national issues, and well we should. But real change happens on the local level,” Hotsenpiller says. “People need to run for office or show up to key meetings. And never underestimate the impact you can make. It is proven in California; the counties with good local government have no state government overreach.”
Hotsenpiller encourages people to share the American Faith website and tell people about the Reawaken America Tour live streaming on thrivetimeshow.com/ to help people become aware of these avenues for becoming informed and engaged in making a difference. Live streaming of the sold-out Anaheim event will also be available on Brighteon.com and SteelTruth.com.
The event runs from noon until 8:00 p.m. on both July 17 and 18, 2021.
“One thing that has been overlooked is freedom of speech,” Hotsenpiller said. “We’ll definitely be exercising that right at the event. Not every speaker is a Christian, but every point of view is worth hearing. I hope people tune in to see if it’s a fit for them. It’s not for everyone, but it is definitely for a lot of people given the tremendous response we’ve received.”
