Bipartisan Senate group backs ‘9/11-style’ commission on COVID-19 response

Panel would explore origins, U.S. preparedness and playbook for future outbreaks

A bipartisan group of senators said Tuesday they are seeking a “9/11-style commission” to investigate how the COVID-19 pandemic began, the U.S. government’s response and ways to prevent a similar tragedy.

Sen. Roger Marshall, Kansas Republican, said a bipartisan commission is “long overdue” as the nation grapples with a virus that’s killed over 750,000 people in the U.S. and millions more around the world.

“As a physician, I think we always need to know the what, where, how, and why when giving a diagnosis. For this reason, it couldn’t be more important that we determine the origins of this infectious disease outbreak in order to ensure nothing like this ever happens again,” Mr. Marshall said.

Republican Sen. Joni Ernst of Iowa and Democratic Sens. Dianne Feinstein of California and Kirsten Gillibrand of New York co-sponsored legislation to create the commission.

“As the threat of major pandemics increases due to globalization and climate change, we must learn from what happened during this pandemic to ensure we’re prepared for any future outbreaks,” Ms. Feinstein said. “This bipartisan commission will ensure we learn all we can from the past 18 months so the immense human suffering and economic devastation we’ve endured never happens again.”

The bill is modeled on the so-called “9/11 Commission” that was set up in 2002 to fully examine the 2001 terror attacks on the homeland and look at ways to prevent future attacks.

The COVID commission would look at the government’s overall response to the pandemic, including its ability to procure supplies and develop tests, treatments and vaccines. It will look at whether public-health messages were effective and resonated with all communities, including the risk of stigma after Asian communities said coarse descriptions of the virus’s origins in China led to discrimination and harassment.

The commission will examine U.S. cooperation with countries abroad, because it was a global pandemic, and whether the nation’s health care system is adequately prepared for major public health crises.

“We simply cannot wait for the next crisis to hit – we must create a 9/11-style COVID-19 commission to prepare a comprehensive health and national security strategy to protect and equip the United States in the event of another devastating emergency,” Ms. Gillibrand said.

Republican sponsors, meanwhile, said it is important to look back at the origins of the virus and explore the fierce debate over whether it occurred naturally or was leaked from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a lab that researched bat coronaviruses in the same central Chinese city where the pandemic began.

“The COVID-19 outbreak that emerged in Wuhan, China nearly two years ago put the world into an unprecedented global lockdown, and to this day, the origins of the pandemic remain a mystery as China refuses to fully cooperate with international fact-finding efforts,” Ms. Ernst said. “The American people and the world deserve answers, which is why I’m proud to join my colleagues across the aisle to create a bipartisan commission to get to the bottom of the pandemic once and for all — and ensure it never happens again.”

Mr. Marshall said he will press the National Institutes of Health for more information about U.S.-funded research at the lab and whether it made certain viruses more dangerous.

Federal scientists have said a federal grantee at the lab didn’t detail one of its projects in a timely manner, as required by the grant. However, they insist it is biologically impossible for that project to be linked to the coronavirus that is bedeviling the world.

Florida GOP Lawmakers Threaten To Pull State Out Of OSHA Over Biden Vaccine Mandate

Top Republican lawmakers are calling on Florida to ‘pull out’ of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration – or OSHA – following President Biden’s ‘workaround’ with the agency in implementing a vaccine mandate for employers.

Last week, the White House announced that OSHA would levy fines of up to $14,000 per violation of the mandate for companies with more than 100 employees – a rule that will begin January 4th.

State Representative Alex Andrade (R-Pensacola) argues that the vaccine mandate marks “the first time that OSHA is being used and manipulated to go after people’s private health decisions.”

“If OSHA’s going to be abused by the federal government for purely political reasons, it’s time for us to get out, and it’s time for us to start creating our own plan,” added Andrade.

Florida To Pull Out Of OSHA?

A joint statement by Florida House Speaker Chris Sprowls and Senate President Wilton Simpson warns that lawmakers will “discuss our own ideas for legislative action” in combating the vaccine mandate.

One of those actions being discussed will include “whether now is the time for Florida to withdraw from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration and establish our own state program.”

The statement would add that the OSHA rule “is a reckless one-size-fits-all approach to Covid-19 vaccine mandates.”

Florida filed a lawsuit against the Biden vaccine mandate in regards to contractors.

“It’s important for us to take a stand,” Governor Ron DeSantis said. “Tossing people aside is just not something we can tolerate here in the state of Florida, so we are going to do everything we can.”

OSHA Vaccine Mandate Amounts To Constitutional Overreach

Andrade argued that the OSHA vaccine mandate “is a constitutional overreach and abuse of the delegated authority that OSHA has in this context.”

He made those comments before President Biden officially announced the start date for the OSHA vaccine mandate.

Days later, a federal appeals court echoed Andrade’s argument, temporarily blocking the administration’s coronavirus vaccine mandate and suggesting it raises “grave statutory and constitutional issues.”

Demonstrating they have no desire to abide by the Constitution, the White House advised businesses to ignore the court’s pause on the vaccine mandate, saying employers should continue to abide by their demands despite the legal ruling.

The administration seems to acknowledge their OSHA mandate is on shaky legal ground.

Back in September White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain retweeted a post indicating the possibility of implementing the OSHA emergency standards would be “the ultimate workaround for the Federal (government) to require vaccinations.”

They admit to trying to work around the Constitution and the law. OSHA is complicit in doing so.

Representative Andy Biggs (R-AZ) introduced a measure to abolish OSHA based on the vaccine mandate overreach.

How Getting Fired For His Beliefs Became A Huge Opportunity For My Husband And Our Family

Canceling conservatives is not silencing or cowing them. It is driving Christians to consider the connections between their faith and their money and jobs.

“You may be a CEO who is a Christian, but not a Christian CEO.” These are the words that I believe eventually led to my husband’s departure from his company.

He had run a successful tech company for more than a decade, and 2020 was the most profitable year yet. However, identity politics led the company to value cultural compliance over performance. Like many other Christians, Andrew lost his position instead of his faith. We had prayed for God to deliver us and save us from losing the job and the many years we had invested, but he did not.

Within a few months of leaving the company, Andrew started a job board. He had been studying labor market data and seeing the pending labor shortage. This combined with the overwhelming woke culture dominating corporate America made a job board an obvious and strategic place to start the fight. He wanted those who value freedom of speech to be able to work with like-minded employers and colleagues rather than keeping their heads down and hoping they would not run afoul of their HR departments.

Redballoon.work was born in early August to provide an off-ramp for conservatives. Within a month, Joe Biden mandated vaccines in a press conference, which made political and religious compliance the pressing issue for millions of workers in this country.

RedBalloon is a small new start-up, not a large profitable tech business like Andrew has run in the past. However, in the few months he has been at this adventure, what has been obvious is that God did not deliver us when we asked — because he was redeploying us, as he is doing with many of his people.

No soldier complains about being “fired” from one base to move to another. It might not be what he wanted, but it is his duty as a soldier, and he may not shirk it. For our family and I believe many others right now, God is writing a bigger story of deliverance than we can see.

In 25 years of tech experience, Andrew has never experienced anything like the response he has received to this job board. Christians from across the theological spectrum along with secular conservatives have volunteered their time because they see RedBalloon as pivotal work, many of them labeling it “God’s work.”

Andrew receives thank-you notes daily from people grateful someone is standing up in the business space. Courage is attractive and contagious, and God calls his people to it. One employer told us, “I think I had better die on this hill, or there won’t be any left.”

All throughout this country, conservatives are awakening and fighting courageously, willing to risk livelihoods, respect, and friendships rather than violate their consciences. Christians and other conservatives are starting businesses, holding onto businesses rather than selling and surrendering cultural control, and looking to invest their money in culturally aligned companies.

Job seekers are moving their families to find work with freedom-loving employers. Canceling conservatives is not silencing or cowing them. It is driving Christians to consider the connections between their faith and their money and jobs.

For years, the evangelical church has focused so narrowly on conversion that it has neglected to teach Christians about the importance and purpose of vocations. Many are unprepared for the challenges they now face in the workplace, but the realization that faith should inform all of life is growing. The more extravagant the demands of our authorities become, the more eyes are opened and consciences fixed.

God is using draconian political leaders and rabid wokesters to do his work and awaken his people. The story of the Exodus is a good reminder that God likes to deliver out of extreme difficulty at the very last minute, and sometimes later. He uses the machinations of those in power as a means of his deliverance.

If Pharaoh had not followed Moses and the Israelites to destroy them, Pharaoh would not have driven his army into the sea. If Judas had not betrayed Jesus to the Pharisees, we would be lost and without hope. In the same way, God is using those who hate him to deliver his people. This is God’s war. Go where he sends you, and take heart.

It’s Official, Kamala Harris Is the Least Popular Vice President in American History

From the beginning of Joe Biden’s run for president, everyone knew that who he picked as his vice president was going to be extraordinarily important. It appears he picked wrong.

Vice President Harris’ approval numbers have hit rock bottom, earning her the distinction of having ranked at a “historic low.” While Biden’s numbers have also been plummeting, especially after the horrific mess of the Afghanistan withdrawal, at least he can say that he still has a significant minority of support. Meanwhile, Harris has just 28 percent approval.

The odds were never in Harris’ favor. Even when she was simply being considered as a candidate for vice president, many were heartily against her.

“Biden-Harris. This is a match made in, well, about as far from heaven as you can get. More like at a public execution,” one USA TODAY opinion columnist wrote in Aug. 2020.

Her time as attorney general of California was not all that she boasted it to be. In fact, looking back at it now, it could be argued that it was rather corrupt.

“Most troubling, Ms. Harris fought tooth and nail to uphold wrongful convictions that had been secured through official misconduct that included evidence tampering, false testimony and the suppression of crucial information by prosecutors,” the New York Times wrote in 2019.

Her brief presidential campaign was underwhelming at best. She dropped out after only being able to muster four percent approval going into 2020.

Just her record alone should make her current disapproval unsurprising. But add to that what she has been doing (or not doing) since she took office with Biden, and this lack of support should have been expected.

As soon as she was in office, Harris decided to take on the border crisis, which — no matter how she handled it — was going to gain her enemies. There were no great options facing her with border tensions, yet she still somehow managed to pick the worst way to handle it.

She simply did not visit the border for a long time. Even though she kept declaring that the border was so important and they needed to find solutions, she just kept not visiting. It took her until June 2021 to finally go down.

Then, when she did finally go down, her comments were confusing and did not help the situation.

“I want to be clear to folks in this region who are thinking about making that dangerous trek to the United States-Mexico border: Do not come. Do not come,” she said.

She got instant backlash from her own party on this.

Even White House officials were confused about her comments and handling of the situation.

“There was a hope inside the White House that this trip would be a success, and by the end of it there was concern that it was perhaps overshadowed by her answers to some of those questions,” one official said.

One Democratic strategist told The Hill that “She is going to be haunted by this trip and this issue for as long as she is in politics.”

Well, she is certainly being haunted now, as most of the country, even those on the left, turn against her.

To achieve approval ratings even lower than Vice President Dick Cheney’s is quite a feat. However, Cheney didn’t even bottom out in approval numbers until the end of the Bush administration. Years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan are what ruined Cheney. Harris has no such excuse.

Beyond just her disapproval as vice president, this also strikes against her bigger goal of gaining the Democratic presidential nomination in 2024. Biden’s age will likely keep him from running again, which would have made Harris a natural candidate if she hadn’t botched her approval numbers so badly. Now, gaining the nomination, especially with Pete Buttigieg posing a viable threat, seems unlikely.

Even Harris’ staff have voiced their concerns.

“I don’t think she’s got a stranglehold on the party,” one of her former staffers told Insider.

This is just one more strike against the whole Biden administration. The honeymoon stage very quickly faded for Biden and Harris, and when they really went into action, Americans across the board suddenly seemed to wake up to the fact that they do not actually like this administration.

Students as young as 12 to be asked how often they have sex, if they’re transgender, and more on Fairfax County voluntary survey

Public school students as young as 12 years old in Fairfax County, Virginia, will be asked some very personal questions — about their sex life, dating life, home life, and more — on a voluntary survey sponsored by the county’s government and school district, WJLA-TV reported.

What are the details?

Students in 8th, 10th, and 12th grades can participate anonymously in the 2021 Fairfax County Youth Survey, which begins by asking students their age, whether they are male, female, or transgender, as well as their sexual orientation, race, and experiences at school, the station said.

The survey also asks how students spend their time after school as well as questions about their home life, bullying, feelings over the past 12 months, and how often they use tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs, WJLA reported.

Sexual behavior questions

The survey also asks students about their sexual behavior, the station said, including questions such as:

  • Have you ever had sexual intercourse?
  • How old were you when you had sexual intercourse for the first time?
  • During your life, with how many people have you had sexual intercourse?
  • During the past three months, with how many people have you had sexual intercourse?
  • Have you ever had oral sex?

Here’s the survey:

Not the first time

WJLA said this isn’t the first county-sponsored survey for students, adding that last year’s youth survey found that 20% of FCPS students ages 13-18 vape. The 2019 survey found 37% of students reported high levels of stress, and 28% felt sad or hopeless for two or more weeks in a row, the station added.

Fairfax County has indicated that the survey results provide a snapshot of the county’s youth and gauge the community’s effectiveness in terms of encouraging healthy choices in young people, WJLA said.

The county also is offering a survey to sixth-graders that asks students about bullying, their recent emotions, and how often they’ve moved, Fox News said.

WJLA said it tried multiple times Monday to ask the county and school district how the questions were developed and how the data will be used, adding that it will update the story when details become available.

Anything else?

Fairfax County Public Schools has been in the news quite a bit this year:

In Huge Blow to DC Attorney General, Judge Dismisses Portion of Inauguration Lawsuit Against Trump Org

A superior court judge on Monday dismissed a portion of a 2017 inauguration lawsuit against the Trump Organization.

The lawsuit, brought by DC Attorney General Karl Racine, claimed Trump’s inaugural committee “wasted” $1 million renting ballrooms at Trump’s DC hotel.

Imagine that. A Democrat worried about wasting money.

Judge José López said the plaintiff didn’t reach the “extreme burden” needed to prove a “waste” claim.

“In short, there is no genuine dispute that the value paid for the space at the Trump Hotel reaches the extreme burden that Plaintiff need to carry a waste claim to its fruition,” Judge José López wrote.

ABC News reported:

The Trump Organization secured a partial victory on Monday as a Washington, D.C., superior court judge [Lopez] dismissed a portion of a lawsuit brought by the D.C. attorney general over actions by former President Donald Trump’s 2017 Presidential Inaugural Committee.

But López did allow the case to proceed, in part, on the claim of “private inurement” — the question of whether the inaugural committee used their funds for private benefit and not for nonprofit purposes — which means the case could proceed to trial.

The ruling removed the Trump Organization as a named defendant in the case, yet still keeps the former president’s Washington hotel as a named defendant, as well as the inaugural committee itself.

The judge ordered a status hearing be held in February to determine how the remaining parties want to proceed.

Trump’s Inaugural Committee raised $107 million and ended up giving $3 million not spent on festivities to charity and the DC Attorney General is nitpicking how $1 million was spent on ballrooms.

Flight Attendant Sues Airline Over Vaccine Mandate After Experiencing Severe Side Effects

“I violated my faith because my employer made me choose between my God and my job, a decision that nearly cost me my life,” she says.

A flight attendant is suing “a major airline” over its vaccine mandate after she experienced severe adverse reactions from the jab.

Lisa Williams, a Tampa-based flight attendant of 31 years, said at a press conference Monday that she is part of a coalition of airline employees – including pilots – filing a lawsuit against a “major U.S. airline” for forcing her to get the injection or face unpaid leave.

“I’m here as a representative for Airline Employees for Health Freedom, a group of over 2,000 of my coworkers who are suing our airline for unreasonable accommodations of indefinite unpaid leave in lieu of taking the vaccine,” Williams said.

“We are not anti-vaccine. We are anti-mandate,” Williams said. “My employer has done everything possible to prevent folks like me from exercising our Title 7 rights to protect our faith and our medical autonomy on the American with Disabilities Act.”

Williams went on to describe how the airline threatened employees with termination or loss of benefits if they refused the jab.

“People were told that they were effectively resigning, would never fly again, or would lose their retirement if they didn’t take the shot,” she said. “The lies and the pressure was unbearable.”

Williams explained how she “caved under duress” to the airline and took the Johnson & Johnson vaccine after missing the religious exemption deadline, but soon after was rushed to the hospital and almost died from the shot.

“That was the single worst decision of my life,” Williams said. “I violated my faith because my employer made me choose between my God and my job, a decision that nearly cost me my life.”

“Every day the side effects linger and I suffer chronic pain,” she explained, adding that the airline won’t provide medical compensation and they won’t “acknowledge their role” in her suffering.

“Employees must have the right to choose what’s best for their individual faith and for their personal medical situations,” she concluded.

Though Williams didn’t specifically name the airline during the presser, she’s believed to be an employee for United Airlines, according to Florida Politics.

This comes after a federal court of appeals temporarily blocked Joe Biden’s vaccine mandate pending further review, citing “grave constitutional” issues.

But Biden told companies on Monday to defy the court order and continue imposing unconstitutional vaccine mandates on workers.

The Durham Probe Just Reached Into the Biden White House

In September Special Counsel John Durham announced former Clinton campaign attorney Michael Sussmann was indicted by a grand jury for lying to the FBI.

“The charge in the indictment stems from a set of allegations brought by Sussmann to the FBI related to an alleged secret channel of communications between the Trump Organization and a Russian bank,” the Department of Justice announced. “As alleged in the indictment, on Sept. 19, 2016, Sussman, a lawyer at a large international law firm, met with the FBI General Counsel at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Sussmann had requested the meeting to provide the General Counsel with certain data files and “white papers” that allegedly demonstrated a covert communications channel between the Trump Organization and a Russia-based bank. Sussmann, who had previously represented the Democratic National Committee in connection with a cyber hack, falsely stated to the General Counsel that he was not bringing these allegations to the FBI on behalf of any client. This false representation led the General Counsel to understand that Sussmann was providing information as a good citizen rather than a paid advocate or political operative. In fact, Sussmann assembled and conveyed the allegations to the FBI on behalf of at least two clients, including a U.S. technology executive and the Clinton Presidential Campaign.”

“It is alleged that beginning in July 2016, Sussmann worked with the aforementioned U.S. technology executive, other cyber researchers, and a U.S.-based investigative firm to assemble the data and white papers that Sussmann ultimately provided to the FBI and the media,” the DOJ statement continues. “The indictment further alleges that researchers were tasked to mine this internet data to establish “an inference” and “narrative” that would tie then-presidential candidate Donald Trump to Russia, and which the executive believed would please certain ‘VIPs.’ The indictment also alleges that Sussmann, his law firm, and the technology executive coordinated with representatives and agents of the Clinton Campaign in these efforts.

In the indictment a “foreign policy advisor” is referenced as someone who Sussmann coordinated with to proliferate false allegations.

“On or about September 15, 2016, Campaign Lawyer-1 exchanged emails with the Clinton Campaign’s campaign manager, communications director, and foreign policy advisor concerning the Russian Bank-1 allegations that SUSSMANN had recently shared with Reporter- 1. Campaign Lawyer-1 billed his time for this correspondence to the Clinton Campaign,” the indictment states.

According to Jake Gibson, that advisor was Jake Sullivan, who currently serves as President Joe Biden’s National Security Advisor.

‘An Extremely Serious Threat’: Trump Consistently Beats Biden in Presidential Polls.

Far-left Slate magazine correspondent Will Saletan has described President Donald Trump as “an extremely serious threat to become president of the United States again,” after a number of public polls placed the former President above Joe Biden, consistently.

The Five-Thirty-Eight pollster blog reveals victories for Trump against Biden in the latest Emerson, Redfield & Wilton Strategies, and Harris polls.

The numbers will be sure to cause consternation within the political left about their ability to retain the presidency in 2024, especially against the backdrop of the Virginia gubernatorial contest and the upcoming mid-term elections in 2022.

Some of the most recent data even shows that if Sen. Tim Scott or former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were the candidate, running against Kamala Harris, they would either win (Scott, +3) or be in a dead heat with the Veep (Pompeo).

The news comes as international media begins to wonder where Kamala Harris has gone, and a number of fresh legislative defeats and failed policy pronouncements loom large for the Biden-Harris regime.

The Texas Attorney General Versus the Biden Administration

On August 7, 2021, I wrote about how states along our southern border could thwart the Biden (*) administration’s material support for the drug cartels and the crimes being committed by invoking the RICO Statute. The statute seems to address directly the various activities in which the administration has engaged over the last ten months at our Southern border. Here, from NOLO, is the meat of that statute:

Passed in 1970, the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) is a federal law designed to combat organized crime in the United States. It allows prosecution and civil penalties for racketeering activity performed as part of an ongoing criminal enterprise. Such activity may include illegal gambling, bribery, kidnapping, murder, money laundering, counterfeiting, embezzlement, drug trafficking, slavery, and a host of other unsavory business practices.

Please note my added emphasis on federal law. Since August, I have spoken to several people with legal expertise, and each said RICO would be the wrong approach because federal prosecutors would be needed, and that will not happen in Biden’s DOJ.

There might be a ray of hope, however. Within the past week on 3 November, John Solomon, at Just The Newsreported the following story: “Texas plots new legal attacks on Biden agenda: migrant trafficking and environmental destruction.”

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has been relentlessly taking on every manner of illegality by the Biden (*) administration and, as the headline teases, one of the two new lawsuits in the making will take on an apparently clandestine effort to bring illegal immigrant families to the United States. AG Paxton is quoted:

“The Biden administration now is working on flying other family members, minors, up at taxpayer expense, flying them to the United States to reunite with the rest of their family,” he told the John Solomon Reports podcast. “One, that’s completely illegal. There’s nothing that allows for that in the federal law. In effect, it’s a complete violation of law.

“So we’re looking at that as a potential lawsuit, because it’s just another way for the Biden administration to accomplish this goal of getting, I think their goal is to get 10 million illegals in the country in four years. And we’re going to do our best to hold them accountable to following federal law.”

AG Paxton seemed to be buoyed (my interpretation) by election gains on Tuesday in Virginia and in other states where Republican Party candidates were running for office:

“It was a great win for us,” he said. “And I think it’s a repudiation of this president who says, ‘I’m not for America. I’m going to do what I want. I run the show, and I do what I think is best. It doesn’t matter what the law says. It doesn’t matter what the courts say. It doesn’t matter if the entire country doesn’t want it. We’re gonna shove it down your throat. That’s what he’s doing.”

Something tells me most of us who are regular consumers at American Thinker would agree with AG Paxton’s characterization of Biden’s “shove it down your throat” approach to governance. That very succinctly and ingeniously frames the entire Democrat Party’s and the Left’s modus operandi, which can be summed up as We are in power now, and we are going to use that power to our sole advantage. You don’t have to like it, you just have to sit down, shut up, and take it.

But what encourages me the most is that the Texas Attorney General is drawing the map and charting the path to how every state negatively affected by the current regime’s (alleged) criminal behavior can hold them accountable. Based on what John Solomon has reported, and how AG Paxton cited the issue—Biden’s policies mean every state will soon be drastically affected and will become a “border state.”

This is arguably the most under-reported story of 2021. The installed (*) regime has been busily undermining every possible means for America’s success, and her citizens’ desire for “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.” Meanwhile, there has been a sustained effort to traffic millions of immigrants into the country, something that has been accurately and truthfully reported only when the situation rises to crisis level. “Crisis,” indeed. Ha!

For American citizens who live within 100 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border, it has been one crisis, one tragedy, after another since January 20, 2021. On August 7, I chronicled events with the following list:

  • Scores of immigrants’ corpses have been found in the county adjacent to where I live every year, a pattern dating back several years. A simple internet search (take your pick of search engine) will review the years of accumulating documentation. Here is one from two months ago:
  • It is hardly a secret, but is instead a well-known and established fact, that the Mexican drug cartels are profiting from the human trafficking that takes place on the border.
  • Law enforcement is discovering and shutting down “stash houses” with increasing frequency. It doesn’t take a wild imagination to guess what happens when dozens of these people are crammed into these houses, or what they may be experiencing at the hands of the Mexican cartel-allied gangs on our side of the border.
  • The criminal enterprise of human trafficking is exploiting and endangering children.
  • Even the hard-left American Civil Liberties Union cannot escape the truth that the illegal immigrants crossing our borders will be subjected to years of exploitation and indentured servitude. The ACLU rightly calls it what it is—SLAVERY.
  • While the chaos at the border facilitates human trafficking, don’t forget the drugs that are still coming across in record numbers. More fentanyl has been seized in the first six months of 2021 than in years past, including this record-breaking seizure in Arizona.

If what AG Paxton alleges is true—namely, that the Biden (*) administration is illegally flying the citizens of Central and South American countries directly to a reunion with their family members, who themselves are here illegally—one would think that ought to be enough to encourage many more states’ Attorneys General to join the fight.

One lesson that all Americans have learned over the past five years is the scope of the Deep State’s dishonesty, and its reach to ensnare anyone its members choose to target. Therefore, we are reminded that the great American actor John Wayne’s quote is still appropriate: “Courage is being scared to death but saddling up anyway.”

For crimes against the people of the United States, and for crimes against humanity for the unspeakable evil that has been unleashed along our southern border, we must implore those whom we have elected to serve and protect us to “saddle up.” Now!
