National Police Association Endorses Kash Patel for FBI Director

The National Police Association (NPA) has strongly endorsed Kash Patel, President-elect Donald Trump’s nominee for FBI Director, hailing his appointment as “a pivotal moment for law enforcement and public safety across the United States.”

The endorsement underscores Patel’s extensive background in law enforcement, national security, and public service.

In a press release, the NPA praised Patel’s career, stating, “Kash Patel’s extensive career in national security, law enforcement, and public service has demonstrated his unwavering commitment to upholding the rule of law, defending justice, and protecting the American people.”

The organization highlighted Patel’s work dismantling international drug trafficking operations as a federal prosecutor, his service as a legal liaison to the Joint Special Operations Command, and his roles in Congress and the Department of Defense.

The NPA emphasized Patel’s leadership qualities, saying, “The law enforcement community knows that effective leadership at the FBI is essential for building public trust and enhancing coordination across all levels of policing.”

They commended his “expertise in counterterrorism and intelligence” and his ability to handle complex legal challenges, which make him “the ideal candidate to restore faith in the FBI’s mission.”

President-elect Trump announced the nomination in late November, describing Patel as “a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter” who played a critical role in exposing the “Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax.” Trump praised Patel’s dedication to “truth, accountability, and the Constitution.”

While the nomination has been celebrated by law enforcement advocates, it has drawn criticism from Democrats. MSNBC political analyst Tim Miller labeled Patel as “the most dangerous nominee that we’ve seen yet to our democracy,” while Tom Nichols called the nomination “preposterous and yet extraordinarily dangerous.”

The NPA, however, remains confident in Patel’s ability to lead the FBI effectively, stating, “His leadership will bring a renewed focus on collaboration, ethical standards, and the relentless pursuit of justice.”

They urged his confirmation, expressing confidence that “under his stewardship, the FBI will thrive in its vital mission to protect and serve the American people.”
