Lindsay Clancy’s lawyer is pushing for an investigation into the juror who wanted to hold her guilty of murder charges.
Defense attorney Kevin Reddington filed a motion asking Judge William Sullivan to assess whether Michael Desronvil, the juror, gave correct information during the jury selection process, as well as the contents of a background check.
According to the document detailing the limited inquiry request, Reddington is asking the court to evaluate the “original confidential juror questionnaires of the twelve deliberating jurors and six alternates and the trial judge’s copies, Juror Doe’s summons, badge, and service records; every jury note and the Court’s written responses; the electronic recordings of July 20-24, September 3, and September 4, 2026, including sidebars, court-officer logs, and sign-in sheets concerning jurors’ mobile telephones from August 27 through September 4, 2026; courthouse video of the jury-room corridor for those dates; the impounded juror list; and all juror information the Commonwealth obtained before or during trial.”
Reddington also seeks the juror’s record from the state’s domestic violence registry, as well as whether or not the juror used a cellphone during deliberations.
The lawyer has further urged President Trump to grant his client a presidential pardon. Trump’s pardon power does not extend to state-level charges. “Mr. President, I would hope that you would consider this young lady and the person she is, what she’s been through, and consider a pardon,” Reddington said during an appearance on “Good Morning America.”
Desronvil has stated that he “didn’t have any doubts” about the Clancy case.
“As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence presented,” he said in a statement shared through his lawyer, Edward Andrew Paltzik. “Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presented, I thought it was enough proof that she (Clancy) knew exactly what she was doing and planned.”
