An El Salvadoran man living in the United States illegally has recently been accused of running over and killing a woman in Virginia.
Jose Aguilar-Martinez, 21, has been charged in the fatal accident that resulted in the death of 54-year-old Melody Waldecker.
Investigators determined she was struck by her own vehicle after a suspected carjacking by Aguilar-Martinez.
Aguilar-Martinez was found and arrested soon later and was taken to a local hospital after appearing to have an unrelated medical condition.
Earlier this month, an illegal immigrant was accused of murdering his own two children in a small Wisconsin town.
29-year-old Victor Manuel Gomez Acosta was arrested over the killings and the stabbing of his wife in Abbotsford.
Law enforcement said that he stabbed the children to death and attacked his wife while she was sleeping.
Gomez Acosta faces two charges of first-degree intentional homicide and one charge of attempted homicide and is being held on $1 million bail.
The illegal immigrant had previously been arrested for driving while intoxicated or being impaired.
