FDA Authorizes COVID Booster for Kids as Young as Five Just Days After Florida Analysis Found 84% Increase in Cardiac-Related Death Among Vaccinated Males Aged 18-39

Food and Drug Administration endorses coronavirus booster shots for children less than a week after Florida Surgeon General advises against males aged 18 to 39 from receiving mRNA jabs.

QUICK FACTS:
  • The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) announced Wednesday it gave a green light for elementary school-age kids to receive “updated booster doses” manufactured by Pfizer for 5- to 11-year-olds as well as a formulation from Moderna for those as young as 6.
  • “Today, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration amended the emergency use authorizations (EUAs) of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent and the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 Vaccine, Bivalent to authorize their use as a single booster dose in younger age groups,” the agency’s press release reads.
  • The Moderna shot is now “authorized for administration at least two months following completion of primary or booster vaccination in children down to six years of age” while the Pfizer-BioNTech drug is “authorized for administration at least two months following completion of primary or booster vaccination in children down to five years of age.”
  • “We encourage parents to consider primary vaccination for children and follow-up with an updated booster dose when eligible,” said FDA director of the Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research Dr. Peter Marks, who nevertheless also admitted that “it has largely been the case that COVID-19 tends to be less severe in children than adults.”
  • The move comes just five days after Florida Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo advised against males in the state aged 18-39 receiving mRNA vaccines following an analysis conducted by Florida’s Department of Health. The analysis showed that “there is an 84% increase in the relative incidence of cardiac-related death among males 18-39 years old within 28 days following mRNA vaccination.”
  • “As such, the State Surgeon General recommends against males aged 18 to 39 from receiving mRNA COVID-19 vaccines,” the Florida Health press release states. “Those with preexisting cardiac conditions, such as myocarditis and pericarditis, should take particular caution when making this decision.”
  • An FDA briefing document from 2021 reveals that Pfizer added a drug used to treat heart attacks called tromethamine to its vaccine for children. Moderna’s jab also contains tromethamine, according to the FDA.
FLORIDA’S SURGEON GENERAL SAYS VACCINE SAFETY CONCERNS HAVE BEEN “DISMISSED”:

“Studying the safety and efficacy of any medications, including vaccines, is an important component of public health,” said Dr. Ladapo in the Florida Health announcement. “Far less attention has been paid to safety and the concerns of many individuals have been dismissed – these are important findings that should be communicated to Floridians.”

BACKGROUND:
  • While testifying before the European Union Parliament on Monday, senior Pfizer executive Janine Small admitted that the drug company didn’t know whether its COVID-19 mRNA vaccine prevented transmission of the virus when it began rolling out the shots globally.
  • Small was asked the question by Dutch MEP Rob Roos: “Was the Pfizer Covid vaccine tested on stopping the transmission of the virus before it entered the market?”
  • The Pfizer exec answered, “Did we know about stopping the immunization before it entered the market? No.”
  • Following the interaction, Roos posted a clip of Small’s response on Twitter (watch below), describing her answer as “scandalous,” adding that “Millions of people worldwide felt forced to get vaccinated because of the myth that ‘you do it for others.'”
  • “Now this turned out to be a cheap lie. This should be exposed,” Roos continued, arguing that the admission removed the entire basis for vaccine mandates and passports which “led to massive institutional discrimination as people lost access to essential parts of society.”
  • “I find this to be shocking, even criminal,” he went on.
