Canadian Truckers Demand to Face Trudeau Who Has Fled to Undisclosed Location Due to Trucking Convoy

Canadians plan to go big before they go home: Truckers and other vaccine mandate objectors converge on the nation’s capital and demand to see a conspicuously absent Justin Trudeau.

QUICK FACTS:
  • News outlets, including WION, have reported that Trudeau and his family have been moved to another location over security concerns, with some unconfirmed reports indicating the prime minister might be in the United States.
  • It’s estimated that 1.5 million demonstrators are in Ottawa at or near Parliament and 100,000 of those are truckers.
  • Some conservatives are concerned that the media might downplay the size of the convoy, which is by far and away believed to be the largest ever in the world.
  • Despite the massive crowds in Ottawa, there have been no threats of violence or arrests amongst the throngs of protesters, as American Faith previously reported.
TRUDEAU’S RESPONSE:
  • The prime minister claimed that Canadians have been “shocked and frankly disgusted” by the convoy members protesting at the nation’s capitol in a tweet sent on Monday. He went on to say that they are “not intimidated by those who hurl abuse at small business workers and steal food from the homeless.
  • “We won’t give in to those who fly racist flags. And we won’t cave to those who engage in vandalism, or dishonour the memory of our veterans,” he said, hurling insults at the peaceful protesters. He went on to say “There is no place in Canada for this behaviour. So, to those responsible: It needs to stop.”
  • The Prime Minister said he will not meet with the protesters, according to The Canadian Press.
