Sen. Cotton Pushes for Probe into Palestinian Youth Movement Citing Troubling Terror-Ties

The Palestinian Youth Movement is once again under fire, and this time, Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is calling for swift accountability. In a formal petition to the IRS, Cotton demanded an investigation into the radical group’s tax-exempt fundraising activities, blasting its support for Hamas and other terror-linked causes.

Cotton revealed that the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM) has been soliciting donations through the nonprofit Honor the Earth, a 501(c)(3) organization. “PYM receives funding from Honor the Earth, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization,” Cotton wrote. “I believe PYM’s activities, particularly its support for terrorist organizations such as Hamas, should prevent it from receiving tax exempt donations.”

The PYM has made headlines for violent, antisemitic stunts. In July 2024, the group unleashed maggots into Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s hotel room during his stay in Washington, D.C., proudly posting a video online with the caption, “BON APPETIT!! MAGGOTS REPORTEDLY RELEASED ON THE CRIMINAL ZIONIST’S WAR TABLE!”

Beyond shocking antics, the PYM has openly aligned itself with terrorist groups. Cotton noted that it has organized “events with the U.S. designated terrorist entity Samidoun,” and maintains “close ties” to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP), a designated foreign terrorist organization.

Cotton’s warning was blunt: “An organization that supports terrorism, breaks U.S. law, and sows antisemitic discord should not receive any benefits from the American tax system.”
