Biden Admin Continues ‘Pandemic Response’ Payroll

The Biden administration is spending thousands of dollars to maintain the salaries of those employed as part of the “Pandemic Response.”

The payroll continues despite Biden declaring in 2022 that the pandemic was “over.”

Six individuals are listed in a report as still receiving paychecks for their role in the Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy.

The payrolls among the individuals vary between $56,500 to $139,500. In total, $667,000 is spent on the employees.

According to the White House, the Office of Pandemic Preparedness and Response Policy was established in 2023 as an advisory group to the president for future pandemics, a means of strategic coordination and communication for biological threats, and for the purpose of developing a response to biological threats.

The office was described as a “permanent” establishment of the Executive Office of the President (EOP) “charged with leading, coordinating, and implementing actions related to preparedness for, and response to, known and unknown biological threats or pathogens that could lead to a pandemic or to significant public health-related disruptions in the United States.”

The hundreds of thousands of dollars in paychecks to Pandemic Response employees comes as the White House payroll under the Biden administration is the highest since the Nixon administration, according to a report from Open the Books.

Under the Biden administration, $225 million has been spent on the White House payroll, the report found.
