Twitter owner Elon Musk said he would like to see how Ukraine is spending U.S. aid.
“Would be nice for the public to have some clue how the money is spent,” Musk tweeted.
The tweet comes as the Biden administration announced another $250 million in aid for Ukraine’s agriculture and $500 million in humanitarian aid.
In total, the Biden administration is set to announce another $1.3 billion in military aid.
Reuters reported that U.S. officials said the aid package is to include “air defenses, counter-drone systems, exploding drones and ammunition.”
Reporting from Sputnik:
However, more and more US citizens are growing weary of supporting Ukraine, according to American media. An increasing number of taxpayers do not approve of their government's decision to spend billions of dollars on a country across the ocean, while it remains unclear how Ukraine spends the funds. At the same time, public attention to Russia's special military operation has taken a downward trend, rendering it difficult for US politicians to justify enormous spending on Ukraine.
