White House Press Secretary Replaced By Karine Jean-Pierre

The Biden administration announced the departure of White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Thursday.

The left celebrated new press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre as being the first black female and first openly gay person to serve in the position.

“I am proud to announce that Karine Jean-Pierre will serve as the next White House Press Secretary,” a statement attributed to Joe Biden reads.

Sleepy Joe continued, “Karine not only brings the experience, talent and integrity needed for this difficult job, but she will continue to lead the way in communicating about the work of the Biden-Harris Administration on behalf of the American people. Jill and I have known and respected Karine a long time and she will be a strong voice speaking for me and this Administration.”

Outgoing press secretary Jen Psaki issued a statement on Twitter, saying how “grateful” she is to the Biden family for the opportunity and how proud she is of Jean-Pierre.

Psaki wrote that Jean-Pierre “has decades of experience from her early years working in government and politics in NYC, to her years as an outspoken advocate, to serving as a long-time advisor to @POTUS back when he was the VP.”

It’s been reported for months that Jen Psaki was going to be leaving her position with the White House to work for MSNBC, which some suggested was a conflict of interest while she remained press secretary.

During the White House Correspondents’ Dinner Last week, left-wing comedian Trevor Noah even joked about Psaki leaving to MSNBC.

Noah jested that Psaki will have an easy transition from her White House job of making “the Biden administration look good” to MSNBC where she’d be doing the same thing.

Taking another swipe at MSNBC, the comedian said, “When Trump was in office, your show was all about how bad he was. And now Biden is in office, your show is about how bad Trump was.”

Psaki will officially leave the White House on May 13, and so far there are no reports of what her next job will be.
