Unvaccinated Teen Originally Refused Transplant Receives New Kidney

A Ukrainian teenager adopted by two U.S. Army veterans was originally denied a kidney transplant by Duke University’s medical system for being unvaccinated against COVID-19.

The teenager has now received her new kidney and is expected to fully recover.

A GiveSendGo account raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to help the teenager receive the necessary treatment.

Reporting from National File:

The procedure was performed at East Carolina University’s medical center, and Yulia is still unjabbed, despite Duke’s best efforts to force her to take the jab to continue living.

As a result of Duke University’s treatment (or lack thereof) of Yulia, the North Carolina State House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed Yulia’s Law, a bill that prohibits medical discrimination based on COVID-19 vaccination status. The family says in the update that now that the law has been passed in the House, they will be focusing on getting it passed in the State Senate, and to the Governor’s desk for a signature.
