A Turkish lawmaker collapsed from a heart attack seconds after declaring Israel will “suffer the wrath of Allah.”
“Even if history remains silent, the truth will not remain silent. They think that if they get rid of us, there will be no problem,” Saadet Party Kocaeli Deputy Hasan Bitmez said in a translated version of his speech. “However, if you get rid of us, you will not be able to escape the torment of conscience. Even if you escape the torment of history, you will not be able to escape the wrath of Allah.”
Moments after declaring that Israel will “suffer,” Bitmez fainted, hitting his head on the floor.

The MP Hasan Bismet spoke out strongly against Israel, and shouted about Israeli suffering the "wrath of Allah".

Minister of Health Fahrettin Koca said in a statement that Bitmez was immediately taken to a hospital following the incident.
“After angiography, he was put on a heart-lung pump and taken to intensive care,” Koca noted. “I offer him my best wishes.”
Koca later provided an update on Bitmez’s condition, saying, “He is being monitored in intensive care, his condition is more serious than yesterday. We are doing our best to help him regain his health.”
