Tucker Carlson: Trump’s Arrest by Biden Admin Confirms Political Vendetta and Demise of Democracy (Watch)

In the latest episode of “Tucker on Twitter” released on Tuesday, former Fox News host Tucker Carlson voiced strong sentiments over the arrest and arraignment of former President Donald Trump.

This comes in the wake of allegations leading to Trump’s arrest by the Biden administration.

The arrest, according to Carlson, was not unexpected but a culmination of a long-standing battle between Trump and “the federal government” which started as early as February 16th, 2016.

“Everyone who’s paid attention knew it was what just happened was always going to happen. It’s been inevitable,” Carlson said. “That’s the day Donald Trump made a blood enemy of the largest and most powerful organization in human history, which would be the federal government.”

He further stated that Trump’s critical view on foreign policies, particularly his critique of the Iraq war, made him a target.

Carlson quoted Trump’s words from a Republican presidential candidate’s debate in Greenville, South Carolina: “We should have never been in Iraq. We have destabilized the Middle East. They lied. Okay. They said there were weapons of mass destruction. There were none. And they knew there were none. There were no weapons of mass.”

This critique, Carlson argued, put Trump in opposition to permanent Washington and bipartisan support for such wars, thus sealing his fate.

“That was the one thing you were not allowed to say because it implicated too many people on both sides, which on this topic is really just one side,” he claimed.

One of the central themes in Carlson’s monologue was the alleged political and ideological motivations behind Trump’s arrest.

He argued that the prosecution of Trump is a political move by President Joe Biden and also ideological, implying a lack of room for differing views on foreign policies, particularly criticisms of America’s wars.

According to Carlson, the arrest sends a chilling message: “Criticize our wars, and you’re disqualified. If you keep it up, we’ll send you to prison.”

In his lengthy monologue, Carlson emphasized the concept of a “caste system” in Washington, with Trump treated as an “untouchable” due to his views.

In India, a country with a social structure that includes a caste system, the term “untouchables” refers to people who are considered impure and less than human from birth.

“And you’re the untouchable in this hierarchy,” Carlson told viewers. “Everybody who works in Washington knows that.”

This, according to the conservative host, reflects the disparity between the powerful figures in Washington and the average citizen.

He went on to describe the situation as a caste system where people with Trump’s views are sidelined and reduced to an untouchable status.

“It’s not about the president, it’s about you, the voter,” Carlson highlighted, suggesting a lack of democracy and respect for voters’ choices.

Toward the end of his discourse, Carlson urged American citizens to stay awake to the destruction of democracy unfolding before their eyes, stating, “The destruction of our democracy, which is the right of voters to support any candidate they want, even candidates who don’t want war with Russia, the destruction of that should keep you up at night.”

In the end, Carlson made an impassioned call to uphold America’s principles.

“Yes, Donald Trump is a flawed man, but his sins are minor compared to those of his persecutors in this life. We don’t get to choose our martyrs. We can only choose our principles and America’s are at stake,” he concluded.
