Amid his mounting legal challenges, former President Donald Trump recently issued a plea to Republican attorneys general and district attorneys.
Through a Thursday video message, Trump drew attention to what he perceives as the misuse of the justice system, stating, “I hope that Republican district attorneys and attorneys general throughout the country are closely watching the tremendous weaponization of justice that is being utilized against me. There’s NEVER been anything like it,” RSBN reports.
Trump’s sentiments echoed his previous calls to the GOP.
He emphasized a robust response, suggesting, “Frankly, it’s ‘an eye for an eye,’ or it’s ‘fight fire with fire.’ So, Republicans, I hope you’re watching.”
Earlier this year, the former president made a similar appeal to the Republican Party, urging them to be resilient against what he sees as political onslaughts from the left.
In August, he pointedly remarked, “Remember, all of these Indictments, Federal, State, and Local, were conceived and generated by Crooked Joe Biden and his staff of Radical Left Lunatics and Thugs for purposes of interfering with the 2020 Presidential Election,” RSBN points out.
In 2023, Trump faced four indictments, with an arrest in Fulton County, Georgia marking the first instance of a post-presidential mugshot.
However, these legal entanglements seem to have bolstered his campaign fundraising efforts.
In August, contributions to Trump’s campaign surpassed $20 million, with a significant surge of over $9 million following the release of his mugshot.
Trump vocalized his frustrations on Truth Social, writing, “Keep Indicting your Political Opponent, it makes no difference for what, or why. Keep him off the ‘campaign trail’ and in the courthouse instead. Don’t think of his Rights, the Constitution, or Liberty. Sit back and WATCH AMERICA CRUMBLE!”
