North Dakota Republican Gov. Doug Burgum signed a bill into law this week requiring that teachers inform parents if their child identifies as transgender.

North Dakota has passed a law that would not force public school teachers to used the preferred pronouns of trans-identfied students and colleagues.

The bill says that "sex" would be "recognized based solely on a person’s reproductive biology and genetics at birth."

Following his March 8 fall that left him hospitalized, Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) may be retiring.

"On Monday, April 10, 2023, the President signed into law: H.J.Res. 7, which terminates the national emergency related to the COVID-19 pandemic," the White House announcement reads.

“I will not be controlled by anyone,” Cotham said.

A Biden administration official told the Associated Press that the president will not veto a Republican-led bill ending the national COVID-19 emergency.

The House of Representatives passed the 175-page "Lower Energy Costs Act," or H.R. 1.
