COVID-19 vaccine manufacturer Pfizer Inc. says they're “proud to stand with China” in connection with the use of the Chinese Communist Party’s payment platform, which is being used for vaccine passports.
Twitter has quietly updated its “COVID-19 misleading information policy” to impose new sanctions on tweets about vaccines, PCR tests, and health authorities. These sanctions include removing and labeling tweets. Both types of sanctions also result in Twitter users accruing strikes on their account which can lead to a permanent suspension.
Exiting Chancellor Angela Merkel announced on Dec. 2 that Germany will lock down unvaccinated people as top officials also signaled that they would back plans for mandatory vaccinations in the coming months.
On Nov. 19, Health Canada authorized the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine for 5- to 11-year-olds. Its decision followed in the footsteps of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s emergency use authorization on Oct. 29 for the same age group.
