A new study conducted by public health researchers at the University of North Carolina and the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services uncovered new information on the efficacy of Pfizer's COVID-19 vaccine in young people age 5 to 11.
"Before you vaccinate millions of healthy 20 year olds, and give Pfizer billions, we usually run trials to ensure the benefit exists," epidemiologist says, objecting to lack of evidence for bivalent booster mandates.

"Our estimate suggests an expected net harm from boosters in this young adult age group, whereby the negative outcomes of all severe adverse events and hospitalizations may on average outweigh the expected benefits in terms of Covid-19 hospitalizations averted," say study authors from Oxford, Harvard, and Johns Hopkins.
