The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has grounded flights departing from New York City's LaGuardia Airport "due to low visibility" from Canadian wildfires.
Secretary of State Antony Blinken said the United States will focus its efforts on aiding Ukraine "for as long as it takes" rather than encourage Russia and Ukraine to reach a settlement.
"What this means is that one of the world’s most horrific regimes is now a part of a group that sets and enforces the standards and norms for the global governance of health care. It is an absurd episode for a key U.N. agency that is in much need of self-reflection and reform,” Hillel Neuer, Executive Director of Geneva-based independent human rights organization, UN Watch, commented.
"Perhaps a future Congress will introduce legislation that actually begins to cut back on the size and scope of government called the Fiscal Irresponsibility Act!"
