In an effort to curb the influx of migrants seeking shelter, New York City has initiated a campaign, announcing plans to distribute flyers recommending migrants to consider more affordable cities.

The operation's success was largely attributed to the dedicated work of a multidisciplinary team (MDT) that included victim specialists, child/adolescent forensic interviewers, and other victim service personnel.
The international campaign, dubbed Operation "FLASH-WEKA," witnessed the concerted efforts of law enforcement agencies across 54 countries to dismantle criminal networks involved in human trafficking and migrant smuggling.
