Texas Governor transports migrants to Washington D.C. in an effort to pressure the Biden administration on immigration and border security, causing widespread criticism.
The U.S. Census Bureau reported Thursday that 300,000 people left California in 2022, more than left any other state, amid a general slow increase in the U.S. population as the country recovered from COVID-19.
It is unclear how many soldiers have been deployed, as the Texas Military Department, Department of Public Safety, and Governor Greg Abbott have not responded to requests for comment.
