A recently published peer-reviewed study in the journal Open Forum Infectious Diseases has confirmed that the risk of contracting COVID-19 is higher among those who have received more COVID vaccines.
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued an advisory stating that the United States remains in a "heightened threat environment" with "lone offenders and small groups motivated by a range of ideological beliefs and personal grievances" posing a significant risk.

The study discovered that "the overall risk of retinal vascular occlusion in the vaccinated cohort was 2.19 times higher than that in the unvaccinated cohort at 2 years (95% Cl 2.00–2.39)."
