A company in Hawaii claims that it was delayed for hours to help put out the deadly fires that devastated the island while a government agency, led by a man who has pushed for "water equity," consulted with local farmers.
Deputy Director of Hawaii's Commission on Water Resource Management M. Kaleo Manuel delayed responding to a request to divert stream water to fill reservoirs for firefighting.
"By tracking every financial transaction, they will have access to every detail of our spending, the recipient of our money, and how we allocate our resources. In essence, it replicates George Orwell’s dystopian society depicted in 1984," critics have argued.
The grants, a joint effort between Gov. Lee and the General Assembly, will fund the placement of a full-time, armed school resource officer (SRO) at every public school and implement physical security improvements at public and non-public schools across Tennessee.
