Convicted parent killers Erik and Lyle Menendez have been granted an early shot at freedom, with California officials scheduling a parole suitability hearing for March 2027, more than a year ahead of when they were originally eligible to apply.
A Los Angeles judge has resentenced Lyle and Erik Menendez to 50 years to life in prison, making them eligible for parole after serving more than three decades for the 1989 murders of their parents, José and Kitty Menendez.
