Chambers reportedly "intentionally threw a glass of wine at Representative Gaetz after shouting obscenities at him," according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office, and was "charged with battery on an elected official and issued a $1,000 bond."
Law enforcement is searching for Francisco Oropesa Perez-Torres, a man accused of killing five of his neighbors in Cleveland, Texas, including a 9-year-old boy, on Friday.
"Can the senseless crimes of a relative few be so despicable to justify the infringement of the constitutional rights of law-abiding individuals in hopes that such crimes will then abate or, at least, not be as horrific?" Judge McGlynn asked in his ruling.
“These threats are magnified with respect to Members of the Supreme Court, given the higher profile of the matters they address. Recent episodes confirm that such dangers are not merely hypothetical," all nine justices wrote.
