A study found elevated levels of spike protein circulating in the bloodstream of individuals who developed postvaccine myocarditis after receiving the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines, which might potentially contribute to myocarditis by causing inflammation.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) changed the end date of a study it is requiring Pfizer to conduct because Pfizer requested a delay, the agency says.
"It’s deeply troubling that the CDC would construct V-safe in a manner that does not permit it to be able to easily assess the rate of harm from adverse events the CDC had already identified as potentially being caused by these products."
