A California bill proposes allowing mental health professionals to remove children as young as 12 from their parents and place them in residential shelter facilities without the parents' knowledge or consent.
Minnesota lawmakers on Thursday advanced legislation that would establish the state as a "trans refuge" for children who are seeking transgender medical procedures but who may be denied "gender-affirming care" in other states.

Pharmaceutical companies are paying TikTok influencers to market prescription drugs to young people, according to a recent study by researchers from the University of Colorado and the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, which calls for increased transparency and regulation in the use of patient influencers for pharmaceutical marketing, particularly when it comes to targeting young people.
“Ten minutes and a few clicks on TikTok is all that is needed to fall into the rabbit hole of some of the darkest and most harmful content online," says corporate accountability group.
"We need to get to the bottom of COVID-19's origins to help ensure we can better prevent future pandemics," Biden said in the statement. "I directed the Intelligence Community to use every tool at its disposal to investigate the origin of COVID-19, and that work is ongoing."
