Congressional Republicans are blasting President Biden’s latest steps to require more people to get vaccinated against COVID-19 as “un-American” and vowing to fight back against them.
President Biden on Thursday laid out a plan to boost vaccination numbers that includes vaccine mandates for all federal contractors, healthcare workers and businesses with more than 100 employees — who face thousands in fines if they don’t comply.
The president earlier signed executive orders mandating that all federal workers get vaccinated if they want to keep their jobs. Another order signed by the president requires private federal contractors and sub-contractors to vaccinate their employees as well, with an additional mandate reported to be still in the works.
President Joe Biden’s plan to force American private businesses to implement vaccine mandates may be the greatest executive overreach of power in U.S. history.
Moments after Texas Rep. Ronny Jackson (R) announced the safe return of four of his constituents from Afghanistan, the State Department appeared to take credit for the operation that brought them home. Republican lawmakers are outraged by that attempt.
CNN Anchor Jim Acosta called Daily Caller co-founder Tucker Carlson a “human manure spreader” and said Republican leaders are like the “American Taliban” in a Saturday evening segment.
