Florida Governor Ron DeSantis announced that the state will not cooperate with any extradition request to send former US President Donald Trump to New York following his indictment by a grand jury in Manhattan on charges related to payments made during the 2016 presidential campaign.

This marks the first-ever criminal case against a former U.S. president.

Governor Katie Hobbs' (D-AZ) press secretary Josselyn Berry has resigned following a controversial tweet suggesting violence must be used against "transphobes."
