Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday signed a bill to dissolve Walt Disney World’s private government, after the entertainment giant opposed a new state law protecting parental rights in the classroom.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on April 19 formally asked state lawmakers to take up eliminating Walt Disney World’s self-governing status during a special session that was set to start on Monday.
The recent boycott of The Walt Disney Company is nothing new to the multi-billion dollar enterprise, carrying a history of hidden sexualized references and organizations attempting to ban them.
