Disney Employees Speak Out Against ‘Hijacked’ Company: ‘Conservative Christian Voices Have No Place’ at the Park

Disney employees say conservatives and Christians are no longer welcome.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Walt Disney Corporation employees say that the company is being taken over by a “woke” mob and it’s making Christians and conservatives no longer welcome with the formerly family-oriented company, according to The Blaze.
  • Disney employees spoke to Fox News reporter Raymond Arroyo earlier in the week and called Disney over it’s new activism and their concern about the direction of the company.
  • One employee said they thought that the “magic” was gone and that their political stand was saddening those who have worked with Disney while another said that they have made it clear that Christians don’t have a place within the company.
WHAT THE EMPLOYEES SAID:
  • “You can clearly see the magic is gone,” one employee said. “I am deeply saddened by what Disney has chosen to take their stand on politically and just with their money, in general,” she continued, going on to say that she has experienced “such a drastic change” in the company in recent years.
  • Another employee said Disney “has made it very clear that conservative Christian voices have no place visiting their parks or working at their parks,” and recalled the last year’s change, calling it “heavy” on staff communications covering “things to say” and “things not to say” to visitors in order to avoid offending visitors.
  • A third employee said that he and others he works with just want to show up and work but Disney’s political agenda is making it “increasingly harder” to do so.
  • “At this point, I believe the company has been hijacked by the liberal left,” exclaimed another employee, Jose Castillo, who is also running for Congress in Florida as a Republican. “We need new leadership,” he told Fox news. “Our CEO Bob Chapek, he’s supposed to be leading the company, not following the woke mob. He has fiduciary duty to the stockholders of this company. That means he has to protect their investment, protect their money. But instead, what does he do? He protects the feelings of a few minority workers.”
BACKGROUND:
  • Disney took a strong stand against Florida’s parental rights bill which included a provision to keep teachers from talking about sexuality and gender issues with children under the age of 9.
  • However, some have asserted that Disney “lied about” the bill, getting on board with the “Never Say Gay” title for a bill that was meant to protect children aged 5-8 from talking about sex in the classroom.
