Sen. Marsha Blackburn Requests Supoena for Additional Epstein Documents

Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) has asked the Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin (D-IL) to secure a subpoena for additional materials relating to Jeffrey Epstein.

The request was made on January 3, the same day that court documents revealed the identities of over 150 Epstein associates.

“Today’s release is a step in the right direction for the countless women and children who were trafficked and abused by Jeffrey Epstein and his associates,” Blackburn said in a statement following the release of the unsealed documents. “I will not stop fighting for complete and total transparency until all of the records are released and the innocent victims receive the justice they deserve.”

“I am calling on Chairman Durbin, who has blocked my repeated requests to subpoena Epstein’s flight records, to follow through with his promise to make all of these records public. I will be urging a vote on my subpoena whenever possible at Judiciary Committee meetings until the American people get the full truth.”

Blackburn pushed Durbin to maintain his commitment to obtaining Epstein’s records.

“While redacted portions of Epstein’s flight logs and Maxwell’s ‘little black book’ have been released in various lawsuits, the American people have the right to know who flew on Epstein’s plane and who potentially participated in his international sex trafficking ring,” she urged. “That is why the Judiciary Committee’s very first act when the Senate resumes business next week should be to authorize a subpoena to Jeffrey Epstein’s estate and the FBI to obtain the complete and unredacted Epstein flight logs and Ghislaine Maxwell’s ‘little black book.'”

“I hope I can rely on your commitment to work with me to obtain these records so that we can finally bring transparency to the American people and justice to the women and children who Jeffrey Epstein and his associates trafficked and abused.”
