The Republican National Committee (RNC) has officially embraced Donald Trump’s 2024 platform, highlighting issues such as the border crisis, radical gender ideology, and the economy.
In a press release, RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and RNC Co-Chair Lara Trump announced that the RNC’s Platform Committee “adopted President Donald J. Trump’s 2024 Republican Party Platform with overwhelming support.”
“Only President Trump can restore our economy, restore our Southern Border, and restore America’s standing in the world,” Whatley and Trump said. “His 2024 Republican Party Platform is a bold roadmap that will undo the devastating damage that Joe Biden’s far-left policies have done to this country, power President Trump to a historic victory in November, and Make America Great Again.”
Some of the efforts listed by the platform that the RNC has embraced include tax cuts, ending the weaponization of the justice system, strengthening the military, cutting funding for schools pushing critical race theory (CRT) and radical gender ideology, protecting women’s sports, and securing elections.
“When America is united, confident, and committed to our principles, it will never fail,” the statement declares. “Today and together, with Love for our Country, Faith in our People, and Trust in God’s Good Grace, we will Make America Great Again!”
According to a GOP platform document, Republicans have shifted from calling for a federal abortion ban to declaring that states have the right to decide the matter.
“We proudly stand for families and Life. We believe that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States guarantees that no person can be denied Life or Liberty without Due Process, and that the States are, therefore, free to pass Laws protecting those Rights,” the document says.
“After 51 years, because of us, that power has been given to the States and to a vote of the People. We will oppose Late Term Abortion, while supporting mothers and policies that advance Prenatal Care, access to Birth Control, and IVF (fertility treatments).”
The document also discusses the establishment of a Federal Task Force on Fighting Anti-Christian Bias that will “investigate all forms of illegal discrimination, harassment, and persecution against Christians in America.”
