RFK Jr. Planning to Run as Independent

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. (RFK Jr.) is reportedly gearing up to declare his independent run for the presidency in 2024.

Sources suggest that he will make his announcement on October 9 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, according to Mediaite.

The revelation follows his alleged dissatisfaction with the Democratic National Committee (DNC), asserting that they are modifying the rules to sideline his candidacy.

Despite trailing in polls, there are worries among establishment Democrat circles that Kennedy’s third-party candidacy might divert votes from Biden, potentially benefiting former President Donald J. Trump (R).

The potential independent candidate’s campaign is reportedly developing “attack ads” against the DNC to facilitate his forthcoming announcement.

“Bobby feels that the DNC is changing the rules to exclude his candidacy so an independent run is the only way to go,” revealed an insider from Kennedy’s campaign to Mediaite.

Kennedy Jr. seems to enjoy substantial support from conservative media and Republicans, who exhibit a significantly more favorable opinion of him.

This diverse reception was highlighted in July when Fox News host Greg Gutfeld suggested Kennedy should consider a third-party run, Mediaite notes.

“I think he should run as a third party candidate because I do think he should, he would win, is because his party’s radical elements, what we call the woke, have embraced this fascist clampdown on language,” Gutfeld stated.

However, the implications of Kennedy’s potential independent run remain uncertain, with debates ensuing about whether it could be more detrimental to President Biden or the Republican nominee.

Kennedy’s campaign opened headquarters in New Jersey on Thursday, a sign the longtime Democrat is in it for the long haul.

During grand opening event, RFK Jr. shared “with voters his policies for economic renewal,” according to a campaign press release.

He discussed “his short- and long-term policies to reverse the decline of the American working and middle class and address rising costs of food, energy, medicine, and housing.”

Kennedy also described “how economic revitalization is intrinsically linked to ending the corrupt merger of state and corporate power, addressing the chronic disease epidemic, ending forever wars, and protecting parental rights.”
