Representative Tim Burchett noted there are conflicting statements from the Secret Service.

QUICK FACTS:
  • Republican Representative Tim Burchett of Tennessee said on “The Chris Salcedo Show” that the Secret Service likely “destroyed” the bag containing cocaine found at the White House.
  • The Secret Service “don’t even have the key from the locker [where the cocaine was found] and they said originally ‘we didn’t find enough DNA,’ now, and they went back and said, ‘we didn’t find any DNA,'” the representative said.
  • “Apparently, they destroyed the bag and any chance of getting any DNA,” Burchett stated.
  • He contrasted the situation with how Tennessee would have handled the situation.
  • Burchett said that while he was Knox County mayor, “When we found an unknown substance somewhere, we called on law enforcement are sheriff’s department, the best in the country, and our police department, one of the best in the country, obviously to come in with hazmat suits to put in the bag and take it to a lab.”
  • “That’s exactly what they should have done here,” Burchett explained. “They should have taken it to Quantico and analyzed it, but instead, they destroyed the bag.”
OFFICIAL SECRET SERVICE STATEMENT:
  • According to an official statement from the Secret Service, an analysis from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) revealed that “insufficient DNA was present for investigative comparisons.”
  • “Therefore, the Secret Service is not able to compare evidence against the known pool of individuals,” the statement continued.
  • The Secret Service claimed that “Without physical evidence, the investigation will not be able to single out a person of interest from the hundreds of individuals who passed through the vestibule where the cocaine was discovered. At this time, the Secret Service’s investigation is closed due to a lack of physical evidence.”
BACKGROUND:
  • American Faith reported that Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has revealed that drugs were found at the White House in two other instances since last year.
  • Marijuana was previously found in two separate events, but the investigation was closed because “everything in this administration is about covering up for the Biden crime family,” Boebert said.
  • “This is the third time that drugs have been found on the White House property since 2022, and we did not even hear about the marijuana,” the representative explained.
  • According to a Secret Service spokesperson in front of Congress, “The marijuana was collected by officers and destroyed.”
