Protester Interrupts Pope to Assert Face Masks Are “Not of the Church of God”

A protester interrupted Pope Francis during his weekly address at the Vatican, shouting “masks are not of the Church of God!”

The incident happened during the Pope’s General Audience yesterday morning.

“The Church is not the way God wants it,” the man asserted, before adding, “masks are not of the Church of God!” as he removed his face mask and held it aloft.

Video footage of the individual showed him calmly stating his case without resorting to any kind of crazy behavior.

The man continued speaking in Italian as he was escorted out by police and a Swiss Guard.

He also reportedly said, “The Pope is not a King.”

Pope Francis subsequently responded to the disturbance, stating, “I would like to end by praying for him, our brother who is suffering, poor thing.”

“Poor man, he’s shouting because he’s suffering. Let’s not be deaf to the needs of this brother,” he added.

That’s a somewhat different tone to how the Pope has previously characterized his critics, who he asserts are doing “the work of the devil.”

Pope Francis has vehemently supported COVID restrictions, including vaccine mandates, despite his own Swiss Guards being suspended after refusing to comply.

As we highlight in the video below, the Pope is also amplifying efforts for ‘fact checkers’ and Big Tech to censor information relating to vaccine side-effects.
