Pro-Palestine Demonstrators Disrupt Children’s Christmas Performance

Pro-Palestine activists disrupted a children’s Christmas performance in Melbourne, Australia.

Melbourne’s Carols by Candlelight, an event running for 86 years, raises funds for children with low or no vision.

As children were performing, a group of protesters took the stage.

According to 9 News, a protestor declared, “While you’re caroling, kids are dying in Gaza.”

Children were ushered off stage as protesters waved Palestinian flags.

The event’s hosts, David Campbell and Sarah Abo, told the audience and protesters to “settle down.”

“But we did have kids here. So we want to make sure those kids are safe. They’re going to come back out in a second,” Campbell said. “It is a very hard time in this world. It’s a hard time, for us all to come together on a night like this too.”

Pro-Palestine activists have held protests globally since the October 7 attack on Israel by Hamas.

Last week, protestors descended upon San Francisco’s Union Square, disrupting Christmas shopping.

Videos showed protesters removing and breaking Christmas ornaments, with one individual climbing an 83-foot Christmas tree.
