Planned Parenthood Wants to Remove Terms ‘Women’ and ‘Female,’ Suggests Using Phrase ‘People With Uteruses’ Instead

Planned Parenthood’s political arm in Vermont has called for a change in language usage.

According to Fox News Digital, the Vermont Action Fund has been advocating for the elimination of terms such as “women,” “female,” and “feminine” in their healthcare advocacy.

The fund argues that language needs to reflect the intersections of various issues, including access to abortion.

“Access to abortion is an intersectional issue,” a video on the Vermont Action Fund’s TikTok page stated. “Our language needs to acknowledge those intersections.”

The video also referred to women as “people with uteruses.”

The fund has also criticized “White women” for not being the right voices for the annual Women’s March and suggested that the term “women’s healthcare” be referred to as “reproductive healthcare.”

The Vermont Action Fund has also recommended that “women’s choice” be referred to as “a person’s choice” and “women’s right” be referred to as a “human right.”

The term “feminine hygiene products” should be referred to as “menstrual products,” and the term “female anatomy” should not be used, according to the group. Instead, the terms “ovaries” and “vagina” should be used.
