Planned Parenthood Accused of Selling Aborted Baby Tissue

Recently released documents reveal that Planned Parenthood and UC San Diego agreed to exchange aborted baby parts. The abortion provider was to hand over the tissues to the university for patents and “other intellectual property rights.”

The contract, made in 2009 for “valuable consideration,” allows UC San Diego “access” to “fetal and placental tissue,” which are materials belonging to Planned Parenthood.

The exchange violates federal law and is punishable by up to 10 years in prison or a fine of up to $500,000.

Email threads from the abortion provider and the university expose quarterly meetings between the entities. In one meeting, “payment” for the collaboration is discussed.

In another email, UC San Diego wrote that it will have “results to share on samples recently collected” during a meeting.

According to public databases, UC San Diego has created patents using aborted baby tissues. “University of California’s total patent invention revenue for 2021-2022 was over $127 million,” wrote David Daleiden, the founder and president of the Center for Medical Progress.

“This new evidence shows Planned Parenthood sells late-term aborted baby body parts in violation of federal law, for far more money than has ever been discussed before,” Daleiden said. “Planned Parenthood’s national headquarters knew about and approved these sales of aborted babies for valuable consideration as part of government-funded research grants.”

“The highest levels of Planned Parenthood leadership must answer under oath for what we now know is the organization’s participation in government-sponsored trafficking of late-term aborted babies,” he added.

Planned Parenthood is also involved in a lawsuit from Missouri’s attorney general Andrew Bailey.

Bailey announced that he was suing Planned Parenthood after discovering the abortion provider was “trafficking minors out of state to obtain abortions without parental consent.”

“This lawsuit is a direct result of the investigation conducted by Project Veritas in November of 2023 that uncovered an agent of a Planned Parenthood clinic in Kansas City, brazenly committed to past, present, and future violations of this state’s laws regarding proper parental consent notification, a conspiracy to traffic women out of state for abortions, and a conspiracy to conceal the sexual exploitation of children,” he said in a video.
