Trump Demands NATO Halt Russian Oil Purchases

President Trump demanded that NATO allies pause their purchases of Russian oil as the president is considering new sanctions against the country.

“Europe is buying oil from Russia. I don’t want them to buy oil — and the sanctions that they’re putting on are not tough enough,” Trump told reporters. “And I’m willing to do sanctions, but they’re going to have to toughen up their sanctions commensurate with what I’m doing.”

The comments follow a letter Trump sent to NATO nations, which read, “I am ready to do major Sanctions on Russia when all NATO Nations have agreed, and started, to do the same thing, and when all NATO Nations STOP BUYING OIL FROM RUSSIA.”

“China has a strong control, and even grip, over Russia, and these powerful Tariffs will break that grip,” the letter read.

“As you know, NATO’s commitment to WIN has been far less than 100%, and the purchase of Russian Oil, by some, has been shocking! It greatly weakens your negotiating position and bargaining power over Russia,” Trump wrote. The letter added, “If NATO does as i say, the WAR will end quickly, and all of those lives will be saved! If not, you are just wasting my time, and the time, energy, and money of the United States.”

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent recently told Fox Business that the Trump administration is prepared to impose new sanctions on Russia amid a renewed Russian bombing campaign in Ukraine. He emphasized, “all options are on the table,” suggesting readiness to escalate economic pressure unless President Putin alters his conduct.

Dems Oppose Bill Penalizing Illegals

Nearly 200 House Democrats opposed a bill increasing penalties for migrants illegally entering the United States.

The legislation passed the House 226-197 last week. Every “no” vote came from a Democrat.

“The Biden Administration let over 10 million illegal immigrants into the country and failed to prosecute those who defied U.S. immigration law,” Rep. Stephanie Bice (R-OK) said in a statement. “These individuals included people from countries designated as state sponsors of terror, with 400 illegal aliens on the Terrorist Watch List being encountered at the border. We must deter future illegal immigration and give our law enforcement and border patrol officers the tools they need to hold dangerous criminals accountable.”

“This is why I was proud to see my colleagues vote to pass the Stop Illegal Entry Act. This legislation increases penalties for illegal aliens who re-enter the United States, as well as those in the United States who have committed felonies. President Trump has delivered on his promise to secure the border, but we have more work to do to safeguard and protect our communities. This is another step in the right direction,” she said.

President Trump backs the bill. According to a statement from the Office of Management and Budget, if the bill “were presented to the President in its current form, his advisors would recommend that he sign it into law.”

“HR 3486 will help discourage the most dangerous criminals from trying to enter, or re-enter, our country by increasing severe criminal and financial penalties,” the office said. “Specifically, the bill would raise the maximum penalty from two years to five years of imprisonment for any illegal alien convicted of reentering the United States.”

Comey’s Daughter Sues Trump Admin After Losing Position

Maurene Comey, the daughter of former FBI Director James Comey, has filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration after she was removed from her position as a prosecutor for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY).

“Despite her exemplary performance, Ms. Comey was abruptly fired on July 16, 2025, the day after the U.S. Attorney’s Office had asked her to take the lead on a major public corruption case and just three months after her latest receipt of an ‘Outstanding’ review,” the filing says. “Defendants did not identify any cause or provide Ms. Comey any due process for her removal.”

“Ms. Comey’s termination—without cause, without advance notice, and without
any opportunity to contest it—was unlawful and unconstitutional,” it notes. “In addition to her fundamental constitutional rights, Ms. Comey had statutory protections under the Civil Service Reform Act (‘CSRA’) that governed how and why she could be terminated, including specific prohibitions against termination for discriminatory reasons such as political affiliation. Her termination violated every one of those protections.”

“Defendants have not provided any explanation whatsoever for terminating Ms. Comey. In truth, there is no legitimate explanation,” the complaint adds. “Rather, Defendants fired Ms. Comey solely or substantially because her father is former FBI Director James B. Comey, or because of her perceived political affiliation and beliefs, or both.”

Following his daughter’s dismissal, Comey said the reservoir” of trust in the federal government is in “grave danger.”

“Trump and the hacks who lead the Department of Justice are hammering at the dam day after day, trying to turn it into just another gold-leaf-covered Trump subsidiary,” he said, adding, “Our best hope is that good people will stay and do what Maurene asked — have the courage to do the right thing, always. You may get fired for acting that way, but there’s honor in that and nothing but disgrace for those who don’t stand up.”

Left-Wing Outlet Offers Official Apology After Melania Smear

The Daily Beast apologized for and retracted a segment of a podcast that suggested First Lady Melania Trump was “very involved” with Jeffrey Epstein.

“The Daily Beast recently published a story headlined ‘Melania Trump “Very Involved” in Epstein Scandal: Author’ based on an interview with Michael Wolff,” the publication said in a statement. “Upon reflection, we have determined that the article did not meet our standards and has therefore been removed from our platforms.”

“In response to a letter from the First Lady’s attorneys, The Daily Beast has also removed a portion of an episode of The Daily Beast Podcast titled ‘Trump’s Epstein Scandal Can’t Stop Won’t Stop’ referencing the First Lady. The First Lady points to her bestselling book Melania as the definitive account of her life story. We apologize to the First Lady and our readers,” the outlet added.

The outlet previously removed the article in July and said at the time, “After this story was published, The Beast received a letter from First Lady Melania Trump’s attorney challenging the headline and framing of the article. After reviewing the matter, the Beast has taken down the article and apologizes for any confusion or misunderstanding.”

Democratic strategist James Carville also apologized for his claims regarding the first lady and Epstein.

“In last week’s podcast episode, we spoke with Judd Legum,” he said on his “Politics War Room” podcast. “After the episode, we received a letter from Melania Trump’s lawyer. He took issue with our title of one of those YouTube videos from that episode and a couple of comments I made about the first lady. We took a look at what they complained about, and we took down the video and edited out those comments from the episode. I also take back these statements and apologize.”

MSNBC Assassination Framing: Network Floats Theory Bullets Meant to Frame Left

Authorities investigating the assassination of Charlie Kirk revealed new evidence Friday, including shell casings engraved with messages such as “Hey fascist! Catch!” Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (R.) said the markings show a clear motive. “As for Robinson’s motive, the ‘Hey fascist!’ engraving speaks for itself,” Cox told reporters.

But on MSNBC, reporter Brandy Zadrozny suggested the slogans may not reflect the suspect’s politics at all. She speculated that Tyler Robinson “could have been trying to set up another ideological enemy for the shooting,” calling the engravings “impossible” to interpret. Criminologist Casey Jordan echoed the claim, dismissing the messages as “the rantings of a really immature child.”

Other evidence points in a different direction. Another shell casing was scrawled with lyrics from an Italian anti-fascist folk song. Robinson’s political leanings were also clear to those who knew him. A high school friend told the Guardian he was “pretty left on everything” and “the only member of his family that was really leftist.”

The rhetoric etched into Robinson’s ammunition echoes years of Democrats labeling conservatives as fascists. In 2022, Joe Biden called Donald Trump’s movement “semi-fascism,” while Kamala Harris branded Trump a “fascist” weeks before the 2024 election.

MSNBC contributor Matthew Dowd went further after Kirk’s death, declaring, “Hateful thoughts lead to hateful words, which then lead to hateful actions.” He was later fired for the remarks.

Utah officials said Robinson confessed to his father before his arrest. The state will seek the death penalty.

Vance Hosts ‘The Charlie Kirk Show’ from White House

Vice President JD Vance hosted “The Charlie Kirk Show” from the White House in honor of the late Turning Point founder.

From his office, Vance said he “wanted to use this show today to advocate for Charlie, to talk about him, to talk about what kind of a guy he was, talk about what kind of a man he was, what kind of a husband and father he was.”

“And to take people, most of them from inside the administration, but some of them from without, who knew Charlie best. And to talk about what he meant, what he meant to them, what he meant to this administration and what he meant to the conservative movement,” he said.”

Vance shared that Kirk’s wife, Erika, said that “Charlie never raised his voice, that he never cussed at her, that he was never cross or mean-spirited to her.”

The vice president explained that in that moment, he knew he “needed to be a better husband. And I needed to be a better father.”

“The best way I can honor my true friend is to be the best husband that I can be,” he added. “To be the kind of husband to my wife that he was to his.”

Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy and Homeland Security Advisor Stephen Miller said during the show that Kirk spoke to him about forming a strategy to “go after left-wing organizations that are promoting violence in this country.”

“With God as my witness, we are going to use every resource we have at the DOJ, Homeland Security, and throughout this government, to identify, disrupt, dismantle, and destroy these networks,” Miller said, declaring, “We will do it in Charlie’s name.”

Samaritan Estate Unearthed: 1,600-Year-Old Biblical Site Found in Israel

Archaeologists in Israel have uncovered a Samaritan estate dating back 1,600 years, shedding new light on one of the Bible’s most historic communities. The Israel Antiquities Authority (IAA) announced the discovery Sept. 2, following excavations in Kafr Qasim, a city in central Israel.

Officials said the estate belonged to a Samaritan community that flourished from the 4th to the late 7th century A.D. and may be linked to Khirbet Kafr Ḥatta, which some believe to be the birthplace of Menander of Samaria, a disciple of Simon Magus mentioned in the Book of Acts.

The star find was a “magnificent” mosaic floor decorated with acanthus leaves, fruits, and vegetables such as grapes, watermelons, and asparagus. Another mosaic bore a Koine Greek inscription wishing the estate’s owner good luck, a detail that points directly to the Samaritan roots of the site.

Other discoveries included an olive press, a purification bath, and two screw presses, evidence that the estate transitioned into an oil production hub during the turbulent Samaritan revolts under Byzantine rule. “The wealth and luxury of the buildings were replaced by oil production and agricultural installations,” excavation director Daniel Leahy Griswold explained.

Archaeologist Alla Nagorsky said the survival of the site offers rare insight into Samaritan resilience. “Its long-term existence and impressive findings will allow us to reconstruct its history over centuries and will enrich our knowledge about this population in ancient times,” she said.

ICE Slave Patrols? Rep. Jasmine Crockett Sparks Outrage with Comments

Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) ignited controversy on Sunday by comparing Immigration and Customs Enforcement to “slave patrols” during an MSNBC interview. Her ICE slave patrols remark came as she dismissed concerns about migrant crime, claiming White supremacists commit murders at far higher rates.

“As somebody who understands history, when I see ICE, I see slave patrols,” Crockett told MSNBC host Ali Velshi. She argued, “None of us want to be unsafe. Yeah, but we’re not looking at the facts…for every immigrant that you have an example of, I’ll raise you at least two to five White supremacist if not more right?”

Crockett has faced criticism before for minimizing migrant-related crimes. At a House hearing last week, she referred to 20-year-old Kayla Hamilton, murdered by an illegal immigrant tied to MS-13, as a “random dead person.”

Federal data, however, paints a different picture. In September 2024, ICE reported 13,000 convicted murderers and 1,845 facing homicide charges on its docket, with more than 662,000 illegal immigrants carrying criminal records.

Crockett doubled down on her rhetoric, insisting law enforcement must follow “the data and facts” and again tying policing to slavery. “If you know the history of policing in this country, then you understand that they were born out of slave patrols,” she said.

The comments drew swift pushback, with critics pointing to the Supreme Court’s recent ruling expanding immigration enforcement powers.

Democrats Launch Nationwide Voter Registration Effort

The Democratic National Committee (DNC) is launching a nationwide effort to increase its voter registration amid rapid gains by Republicans.

Democrats will host 50 events across 25 states and territories as part of their National Voter Registration Week of Action programming. The events mark the “first time in years that the DNC is directly supporting voter registration efforts for National Voter Registration Day, working closely with College Democrats, state parties, and grassroots organizers to meet voters where they are,” the DNC explained.

“During the DNC’s Voter Registration Week of Action, Democrats will be all-hands-on-deck to organize and register voters across the country. On the heels of our successful Organizing Summer program, where we expanded our volunteer base to 41,000 people and made over 1.6 million voter contacts, we recognize that the next stage of our program is to ensure we are once again engaging in voter registration,” DNC Chairman Ken Martin said in a statement. “Across 27 states and territories, Democrats will be hosting a combined 50 events to register voters and hold Republicans accountable for selling us out to their billionaire backers. We’re building the infrastructure necessary to win everywhere. The work continues now.”

A recent report from The New York Times described the 4.5 million voter gains by the GOP as a “deep political hole that could take years for Democrats to climb out from.” Battleground states, such as Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania, showed “significant Democratic erosion,” the analysis explained.

Similarly, a June report from NBC News found that the number of independents and third-party members is growing.

Charlie Kirk Memorial Vandalism Sparks Outrage in Phoenix

A shocking incident of vandalism unfolded Sunday in Phoenix at a Charlie Kirk memorial where a man was arrested after trampling and destroying tributes left for the late Turning Point USA founder outside the organization’s headquarters.

Fox News cameras captured 19-year-old Ryder Corral walking through the memorial, kicking over flowers, vases, and flags. The scene turned tense when a mourner intervened, yanking Corral away from the display and throwing him to the ground.

Phoenix police confirmed Corral’s arrest, charging him with one count of criminal damage and one count of disorderly conduct. Public Information Sergeant Philip Krynsky said Corral was taken into custody at Maricopa County Jail. “Officers had already been on scene to assist with traffic control due to the large community presence in the area,” Krynsky noted.

Witnesses noticed Corral wore a black shirt with an eagle and American flag—similar to the clothing Tyler Robinson allegedly wore when assassinating Kirk in Utah just days earlier. Law enforcement arrested Robinson Friday after a 33-hour manhunt.

Kirk, 31, was fatally shot Wednesday while speaking at Utah Valley University in Orem. He was rushed to Timpanogos Regional Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The vandalism adds to the grief of mourners still reeling from Kirk’s death. “You’re an embarrassment,” one onlooker shouted at the suspect as police escorted him away.
